I met Brian almost a decade ago in college. Through the years, I have seen him move up the company ladder, get married, and father two children.
I never knew him to be a runner so when he started putting flyers up around the office about the Lost Lake Run, I was intrigued. "So, you are going to just run a 16 mile backcountry race, huh?" I asked one day, "Didn't you just have knee surgery a few months ago?" He started to talk about his story. I knew I was onto something and asked him if I could share it.
Luckily, he agreed. I took him out to lunch and listened. I learned a lot about my friend that day.
Over the next few months, I will be sharing his story, hopes, and dreams. Brian embodies the Snow Beast mission: Every day people getting outside and following their passion and dreams. Actually, Brian is taking it to the next level and using the outdoors to benefit countless others. More on that part of his story later.
